This page explains how to delete your VerifAge account (mobile application for iOS and Android, published by SAS INOVA DIGI-TECH) and what happens to your data afterwards.

1. From the application

  1. Open the VerifAge application and sign in.
  2. Open Settings, then Privacy and data.
  3. Tap Delete account.
  4. Confirm with your password (accounts created with Google or Apple do not need one), then tap Delete my account.

Your account is deleted immediately and you are signed out on every device. This cannot be undone: to use VerifAge again, you will have to create a new account and prove your age again.

2. Without the application

If you no longer have the application or cannot sign in, send an e-mail to dpo@verifage.com from the e-mail address of your account, with the subject “Delete my account”. If your account was created with a telephone number only, mention that number. We may ask you to confirm the request from that address or number before acting on it.

You may also write to: DPO – SAS INOVA DIGI-TECH – 16 rue de la Côte – Bâtiment D1 – 54000 Nancy, France.

Requests are handled within one month at most (Article 17 GDPR), usually within a few days. You receive a confirmation once the account is deleted.

3. Which data is erased?

  • Account data: e-mail address, telephone number, date of birth, registration date, chosen validation method and account status.
  • Devices, sessions and notification tokens linked to the account.
  • Your “of legal age” status: partner websites, vending machines and points of sale can no longer check it.

The video of your face and the photograph of your identity document are not concerned: they are deleted as soon as the operator has made a decision, and at the latest 15 days after they are sent, whether or not you delete your account.

4. Which data is kept?

  • Technical security logs, for 12 months at most.
  • An anonymised record of the deletion (date and reason) with no personal data, kept to prove that the request was carried out.
  • For business customers only: invoices and accounting records, for 10 years in accordance with the French Commercial Code (Code de commerce).

Business accounts (shops, websites, vending machines) are deleted from the platform app.verifage.com, under Settings, or on request at contact@verifage.com.
